Kimberly Braun
Director

It is a complete honor to work on this event, I believe the more we celebrate the gifts of each person, the more we empower them, ourselves and the world. On my website is a complete page about my backround to date. I have been working in personal development and spirituality for over 20 yeas now. I am an ordained minister, Reiki master, Meditation coach, retreat facilitator and keynote speaker. But most of all I am a fellow seeker with you, a seeker of true peace, lasting love and unending joy.

Come work with us, or at least celebrate with us on May 2nd.

Dan Galbraith
Sanitation and Recycling

I hope this is true of everyone, but the times I have chosen to volunteer my time and efforts, the more I give - the more I receive. The key for me has been the connection with people in pursuit of a common goal: TO HAVE FUN! I have coached 5th and 6th graders in YMCA flag football, I was a counselor for MDA Summer Camp at Lake Couer d'Alene in Idaho, and painted an elementary school in Pattaya Beach, Thailand while serving in the U.S. Navy. I am excited to see what the Wellness Fest experience will bring and welcome the opportunity.
Rachel McCall
Music and Expressive Arts Coordinator

Originally from the San Francisco Bay Area, Rachel spent summers at her family's beach resort on Longboat Key, learning how to sing and play the piano from her grandparents and camp counselors. Back in Berkeley, Rachel's wise mother enrolled her in dance classes to learn modern ballet by emulating the evolutionary cycle, from primordial ooze to Homo Sapien Sapien! Transplanted to Tennessee at 15, Rachel continued in her music and dance studies in high school and college. After earning an MS in Education from the University of Tennessee, Rachel taught high school and sponsored the cheerleading and hot-stepping teams at the Academic Magnet High School in Charleston SC. Most recently Rachel returned to the dance floor to compete in street salsa and hustle competitions in New Orleans and Miami, winning the grand prize (a trip to Miami!) at the 2004 Vespers Salsa competition in New Orleans. Rachel currently studies yoga at the Garden of the Heart yoga studio under Betsey Downing PhD. and Nancy Zampella. She plans to begin her yoga teacher training and Yogadance certification coursework in the near future. Her dream is to open a rehabilitative dance arts center one day soon.
Tana Siebold
Marketing of Booths

Tana Siebold's passion and excitement for health and wellness stems from overcoming her own personal health challenges. After spending her entire childhood playing on the sand dunes in Saudi Arabia & globetrotting around the world, she graduated from the University of Northern Colorado with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Elementary Education.

While in her 1st year of teaching, her path took a different turn due to contracting the Epstein-Barr Virus. On a quest to cure herself through alternative medicine, she became a Licensed Massage Therapist, a Personal Trainer, and worked as a Chiropractic Assistant. Delving deeper, Tana furthered her studies by attending the Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine. After 1 year, she decided that she did not want to live such a stressful, rigorous existence, as her health was failing once again. She wanted to lead by example, and has spent the last couple of years enjoying life, diving into her intuitive and healing abilities. She has worked in admissions at the Southwest Institute of Healing Arts in Tempe, AZ, and now she has come back to the beautiful Sarasota area, working in Public Relations.
Robert Canino
First Aid

Robert recently moved here from New York after retiring from a career in law enforcement. Receiving a graduate degree in Humanistic Education and Human Services Management, he truly embraced and incorporated these principles into a community policing philosophy. As an instructor he taught at the law enforcemeny academy as well as conducted in-service training workshops on various topics such as ethical awareness, domestic violence, mental health, suicide prevention and CPR. Robert served on the Mental Health/ Law Enforcement Cooperative Effort Initiative. He most recently served on the nominating committee as well as chaired the election committee for a newly formed New York chapter of the NAACP.

After sustaining career ending injuries and several years of traditional medical approaches which failed, Robert was guided toward alternative healing modalities such yoga, acupuncture, prolotherapy, massage, chiropractic care and meditation. It is through this very journey of life, love and spirit that brought him here to honor and share in the Celebrating Wellness Festival.

She studies with and is inspired by Betsey Downing and Jaye Martin, and has completed the GOH Teacher Training Program. In addition Donna has studied with John Friend, Suzy Hurley, Sianna Sherman, and Desiree Rumbaugh. Mary Anne Pogan

I am originally from upstate NY, near Albany. It was there that I had a wonderful childhood, met my husband (now married 20 years), and received a BS in engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. I worked in the engineering field for 7 years, then 5 more as a full time stay at home mom of 3. We vacationed in Florida every year for many years and decided to relocate to Bradenton in 2000.

After living in the same town for our entire lives, the move was more difficult than we had anticipated and I developed health problems due to stress. In search of a way to feel better, I decided to try a yoga class. That was a life altering step for me…I have been practicing yoga and meditation at Garden of the Heart Yoga Center ever since.

In 2003, the role of yoga in my life expanded as I became the Office Manager at Garden of the Heart. Being a part of this community continues to enrich my life on a daily basis. I am so thankful to be able to share with so many loving, creative and spirit filled individuals. It is with this intention that I welcome the opportunity to be a part of the Celebrating Wellness Festival.
We are looking for a photographer for the day, email Kimberly at nunsense06@yahoo.com to inquire.
