Mark Zampella
Web Designer
Mark has over 20 years experience as a recording engineer and music producer, working on projects such as TV commercials, promos, short films, sales videos, and corporate training videos, as well as major and minor label album projects. He has been credited as a recording engineer, mixer, producer, or guitar player on dozens of albums by artists as varied as Peter Gabriel, Sting, Peter, Paul, and Mary, and Roger Daltrey, among others. Mark received a Grammy nomination in 1992.
Mark started his own business in 2002, continuing his work as an audio engineer, as well as incorporating graphic, web design, and video projects into his busy schedule. Mark has played guitar and bass for the past 25 years in numerous cover and original acts. He currently teaches several guitar students per week, in addition to playing solo and duo acoustic gigs at Sarasota bars and cafés.
Currently Mark hosts a weekly 2-hour radio show called "Complex Waveforms", which airs every Friday from 1-3pm on WSLR 96.5 LPFM, Sarasota's local community radio station. The focus of the show is to trace the connections of tribal and indigenous music to contemporary ambient and electronica. WSLR is a 100-watt station, referred to as low power FM, with an understandably limited range. You can, however, take advantage of the magic of the internet and listen in via streaming from the station website at wslr.org.
